Executive Summary
Front Range Windows & Doors runs a high-volume installation operation. Today, that means clipboards, paper job tickets, and manual status updates — a workflow that creates delays, miscommunication, and lost information between the field and the office.
We’re proposing a purpose-built mobile installer app that gives your field crews everything they need on their phone:
Their daily job list with full job details and directions
Photo capture and documentation right on the job site
One-tap status updates that flow instantly to the office
Offline mode that works even without cell coverage
This is built for how FRWD installers actually work — not a generic field service tool adapted to fit.
Phase 1: Must Have
Daily Job List
Each installer sees their assigned jobs for the day, ordered by schedule. Tap any job to see full details.
Job Detail View
Full job info on one screen: address, contact info, products being installed, special instructions, and directions.
Photo Capture
Capture before, during, and after photos tied directly to each job. No more lost photos in camera rolls.
Status Updates
One-tap status changes (En Route, On Site, Complete) that notify the office in real time. No phone tag needed.
Offline Mode
The app works without cell service. Photos, notes, and status updates sync automatically when connectivity is restored.
Basic Reporting
Office-side dashboard showing daily job completion rates, outstanding jobs, and installer activity summaries.
Phase 2: High Value
Billing Handoff
Installers mark jobs complete with a digital sign-off. That triggers automatic billing handoff to your accounting system — no manual entry.
Image Markup
Annotate photos directly in the app to call out damage, measurements, or issues. Markups are saved with the job record.
GPS Tracking
See where installers are throughout the day. Useful for dispatching urgent jobs and verifying on-site arrival times.
Multi-Contact Support
Each job can have multiple contacts (homeowner, property manager, GC) with their roles and preferred contact methods.
Job Flagging
Installers can flag issues (wrong product, damage, access problem) with a note and photo. Office is notified immediately.
Phase 3: Future
Voice AI Notes
Installers dictate job notes hands-free. AI transcribes and structures the note, attaching it to the correct job automatically.
Video Capture
Short walkthrough videos attached to jobs for complex installs or warranty documentation. Compressed and stored automatically.
Inventory Tracking
Track product usage per job. Flag shortages in real time and sync with your purchasing system to reorder automatically.
Subcontractor Portal
Extend access to subcontractors with limited permissions — they see only their jobs and can submit photos and status updates.
SMS to Homeowners
Automated text updates to homeowners when installers are en route or when a job is complete. Reduces inbound calls to the office.
How We Build It
Discovery
We shadow your team, map your current job flow, and document exactly how installers and the office communicate today — then design around that reality.
Build
We build Phase 1 in focused sprints, sharing working versions with your team early and often. You see real progress weekly.
Launch
We roll out to your crew with hands-on training, handle any early issues immediately, and stay close through the first few weeks in production.
